There are lots of ways to get traffic to your website, some of them may work for the particular site and some may not. But the main idea is that you have to promote it in different ways. Of course, you can launch an advertising campaign (Google AdWords, Facebook Ads etc.) which is obviously a good way to get traffic to your website, but it’s just temporary and not always cheap. I’d certainly not recommend buying backlinks if you are not familiar with this industry, because you’ll most probably get fooled and penalized later.

So there are some other legit tips you can use to drive more traffic:

Organic click-through-rate (CTR)

There’s no doubt that organic traffic takes a massive part of the whole traffic to your site and it obviously should not be slept on. It makes it less important whether you rank 1 or 4 in search engine result page if you aim at bigger CTR. What can you do to increase your CTR:

• Use long-tailed keywords
• Use schema markup to appear at rich snippets (learn more about it)
• Add numbers to your title (something like percentage or years)
• Make intriguing titles and descriptions
• Include keywords in your title, description, URL
• Test different title/description combos and see which one gets the best CTR

Viral content

I’m sure lots of people will tell you to create high-quality content and they will be completely right. But it’s not enough to create a top-notch article if you want more traffic. So here is my answer: How did i start with blogging

To be honest , i have never heard of this team “blogs or blogging”in my life till 2014. I didn't know people were actually earning through writing blogs,you tube videos.Then how i landed on this sphere??

It was during the end of my 2 year that i really wanted to make money via online.I was searching for many jobs(home based).And I finally came across few data entry jobs.I found it interesting since it showed i will be paid with some decent amount which i though would be enough for my other learning and shopping stuffs, hence without any hesitation i moved with that,.I was too happy that i finally found something worthy without realizing the truth behind it. I filled every details for the job,only at the end of the confirmation they asked me to pay a sum of 3000 to 5000(it varied from sites).I was shocked,literally shocked..their websites read - free data-entry no payments from your side..Idiots…Not all data-entry jobs are bad,maybe i didn't find the correct one.

Then again i searched for something else,landed on Freelancer..I registered myself there giving few details about the stuffs i was interested..I bided all jobs that were related to my knowledge.Again failure..I didn't even get one single response. Felt heavy at heart. But still didn't lose the hope.I continued to bid.

Side by side i was also checking few others,and again landed on one more website(guess i read almost all the websites/blog that had the keyword”earn online”,”ways one can earn online”etc. That’s when i found about the clixsense which paid for viewing their ads,and some surveys.This really attracted me and i also earned some amount there($11).After that i felt little bored and discontinued from that.Still no response from freelancer..:(

All the above things took more than one year and yet i was not satisfied.I was really interested, but found nothing that i was actually wanted.All those one year i never found any word that referred to blog or blogging(or may be i didn't notice)

The change happened in 2014 ,September.

Later run , i became friend with that website founder.I was very happy when he said even he is from chennai. It was he who actually told me about blogging and how people actually earn through it(It was quite interesting).But i didn't know on what should i write.

It took another 6–7 months to decide on my topic.I started with a recipe blog(though i had no idea on cooking).It was a failure blog.But i learned many thing from that.The other mistake i did was i started my blog on WordPress(i felt).The good thing was that i learned from my mistakes.

I decided to move to blogger ,this time i was more confident in choosing my niche. It was about my country(India).India has also fascinated me right from my primary days. Loved reading the past. Emperors,why many people came to India, was India that rich compared to others,why many people love India,epics (was it true)..and many more.Yes this was the most interesting thing for me.I remembered what ever i read i use to make note of it. Without any hesitation i started my blog on blogspot and named it “CrazyHodus”(meaning CrazyIndians)

It was almost going well and i was also leaning many things in the field.I was also writing few paid post for other websites(tech),just to improve myself. After some months i again got suck my studies,final year projects etc stuffs.. After my exams,i restarted my blogging work.Again, i got my call letter from the company i was selected during my campus selection.I joined the company thinking,after the working hours i can work on blogging at night.But it it go the way i planned..
